The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be a great option for those who want to remove mopping from their list of things to do. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for an  automatic vacuum  cleaner that can also mop.  best budget robot vacuum  is smaller than other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum to mop it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. These include corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It is important to keep in mind that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to shield certain areas of your house from being cleaned with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up hair of pets. It was able capture many of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some lovely jingles to signalled when it was starting or finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock that doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base has several control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
