Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide can get you up and running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can decide to let the robot do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you exactly what the robot completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you view all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock.  automatic vacuum  hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.

The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop that is high quality that cleans hard floors without the need for a pad. In addition, the X40 is extremely quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It also lets the robot to access low-profile furniture making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice feature that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.

Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's intelligent features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times.  best budget robot vacuum cleaner  is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect if the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. However, it has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.

auto vacuum  are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a great way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There's a plethora of options available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't offered on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping system is well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
